Nearly 900 local residents and people attended the Monterey Park Police Department’s National Night Out Celebration at City Hall on Tuesday, August 1st. Despite threats of rain and hot temperatures, there were more than forty information booths, mostly from non-profits but also some businesses at the event. The police department conducted demonstrations on police processes including a police dog exhibit.

More than 900 hot dogs were given away along with ice cold water and informational materials. City officials participated in the event.
